Imagine being so stupid and dangerous you are barred from consuming news.

ID: hrkfrt3

Imagine being so stupid and impressionable that the news you choose to watch that gets you sent back to prison is the pillow guys 3-day embarrassment of a symposium

ID: hrm5o7r

Speak softly and carry a big, fluffy pillow

ID: hrkzd84

It’s not quite that simple and I don’t think his violation constituted “News” - at least not this part:

Jensen reportedly admitted to officials he'd used a phone obtained from a family member to watch the Cyber Symposium, a three-day online event in August focused on claims the 2020 presidential election had been stolen. The symposium was organized by pillow manufacturer and leading Stop the Steal advocate Mike Lindell.

This is like an accused terrorist with pretrial release watching sermons by Anwar Al-Awaki on jihadtube. Doug thinks he has a right to further self radicalization while on pretrial supervision. He doesn’t.

The part I find interesting is that even the bench recognizes the dangers of right wing bullshit, but Fox Noose & trump voters? Not so much.

Jensen, an avowed follower of the QAnon conspiracy who had been ordered to stay offline, acknowledges he "let the court down" by seeking out "news outlets that some may find puzzling." But the motion also argues that blocking him from watching the news is both difficult to enforce and oversteps the court's bounds.

Not sure that the "it's the courts fault because I'm going to do it anyway" defense will work out.

This comment is fucking hilarious to me.

ID: hrlq4aq

Faux viewers/DFP supporters are that stupid.

ID: hrkq93d

But is it really ‘news’?

ID: hrmskpy

But the motion also argues that blocking him from watching the news is both difficult to enforce and oversteps the court's bounds.

The fact that he still sees the propaganda and conspiracy garbage he watches as “news” indicates (to me) that he hasn’t changed one bit.

So Pillow Man is the content this douche chose to go back to jail for? L O F’n L

ID: hrkais7

Well, he had already demonstrated his lack of reasoning skills by believing Trump's "Big Lie". No one should be surprised at further examples of stupidity.

ID: hrke4zx

This moron thought he was at the White House.

ID: hrm0bl8

All of this lack of critical thinking and people are out here privatizing libraries and trying to remove books

4 :Anonymous2022/01/06(Thu) 23:43:54ID: hrkaafr

Behold! The “party of personal responsibility” everybody!

7 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 00:04:30ID: hrkdeki

In other news; "Ya cant fix stupid" remains the most popular phrase in much of middle America.

9 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 08:33:04ID: hrm3ddx

To ban his access to news outlets and information he apparently feels a need to consume is not only difficult to enforce...

He got caught so it's apparently not that difficult to enforce.

10 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 00:32:36ID: hrkhkzc

Lock him up and give him the max for proving the court spot on. Jan 6th garbage need to be taken out of circulation for as long as legally possible.

ID: hrmsfnt

Some Puerto Ricans stormed the White House - or the capital building? - in the 50's.

They got 50 year sentences.

This should be no different.

12 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 05:28:16ID: hrlm0zy

So he tries to apologize to the court by chastising it....

lolwut?

13 :Anonymous2022/01/06(Thu) 23:50:03ID: hrkb8ar

Let him out if he promises only to watch Joy Reid, Don Lemon, Brian Stelter and Rachel Maddow on a loop. Lol.

ID: hrkhqnf

And Chris Hayes

ID: hrkpnxz

We have laws against cruel and unusual punishment.

ID: hrl3zo2

Excuse me that's against the geneva convention

ID: hrltnmb

"Geneva Conventions" = a series of international treaties and protocols. "Geneva convention"= business trip to Switzerland.

14 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 01:53:51ID: hrktfky

Nope, You can stay right there in jail!

15 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 06:25:25ID: hrls1cg

So, he still isn’t taking this seriously. 6mos in jail should have rattled him.. but, no.. still thinks rules don’t apply to him. Lock him up.

16 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 08:48:36ID: hrm4m5q

Was this the guy that Eugene Goodman led away from the Senate?

17 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 12:33:28ID: hrmn5es

"But the motion also argues that blocking him from watching the news is both difficult to enforce and oversteps the court's bounds."

Difficult to enforce? Not if he's in jail.

18 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 02:46:26ID: hrl0yaj

Play christmas music in his cell on a continuous loop..........he can consume that.

ID: hrmkvnw

Nah, play baby shark on a continuous loop.

20 :Anonymous2022/01/07(Fri) 03:25:27ID: hrl6fxn

How did he get caught?
I understand the concerns that prompted such an order, but if it can be enforced in his case, doesn't that mean that the internet use of everybody is being monitored?

ID: hrlh7ke

Did you WATCH Pillow Guy's Cyber symposium!?

His cell block were probably getting triggered by some angry white dude manically talking while high on coke.

I bet this guy had the phone on full blast.

ID: hrli85k

Drat! I missed it, I had to, um... wash my neighbor's half-stepcousin's cat's life coach's hair.

ID: hrmpxzq

Everybody is being monitored by somebody, but he got caught because he's dangerously stupid.
