What convinced you containment was a scam?
3 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 03:33:52ID: hsfwqh1

The first confirmed/formally announced case of community spread here in NY was still in March of 2020. In non-clown world, that is the signal to give up on containment. And yet here we are 2 years later, still attempting to "contact trace" an airborne virus that you get exposed to every time you go to the grocery store.

Yea no more contact tracing at least if you are in a rebel county that told her to F off with her mask "mandate"

When two weeks to flatten the curve turned into wait until there's a vaccine which eventually turned into get vaccinated and wear a muzzle anyway.

When I saw the symptoms and realized that we had been seeing them in late 2019 but it didn't have a name.

this was already spreading. we know this. A grandmother in Kansas

from covid-19.

It's been here a while. containment was always a scam.

ID: hsgb454

Holy shit. Throwback to when everyone got sick Christmas 2019 in my extended family.

ID: hshh9lu

I had a tough nagging flu-like illness around that time, early-mid January 2020. Had been doing a ton of traveling and had just spent New Years in a party city.

6 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:34:53ID: hsg4ar2

I saw the the following late March:

  1. Event 201 video from october 2019

  2. Fauci's peer reviewed publication from Feb/March 2020 which calculated the infection fatality ratio similar to 1968 Hong Kong Flu Pandemic and 1957-58 Flu pandemics but he was saying the exact opposite on the TV

  3. Trump's september 2019 executive order for the development of new vaccine technologies to prevent "deadly flu pandemics"

  4. Trillions of dollars they passed like pocket change.

I didn't buy anything after that.

7 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:02:11ID: hsg0cmw

I got banned for speaking this logic, zero covid is insanity and containing a respiratory virus makes no sense

9 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 05:02:54ID: hsg7ji5

mask mandate lifted in Texas around march 2021, no surge in cases/deaths.

10 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:24:28ID: hsg32u1

Because people like to do a thing called breathing.

11 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:26:56ID: hsg3d90

Basic biology and epidemiology. It was obvious it was over back in January 2020. Everything since has just been adjustment reaction and humans being humans.

12 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:12:48ID: hsg1nwn

When wild deer tested positive for COVID-19.

14 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:01:51ID: hsg0b78

I never believed it wasn't. I hold not one iota of trust for the government. Their eyes are only on the "prize" of money and power.

15 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:58:49ID: hsg72xw

Common sense.

17 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 05:57:28ID: hsgddh7

Literally the first time we backslid from wearing masks -> vaccinated people can go where they please without masks -> everyone has to wear masks, vaxxed or not, I knew it was bullshit. I was worried and cautious up to that point.

ID: hshc5mu

Yep, or when the "masks on when standing up, but you can take them off when sitting down" was implemented. Absolute clown-show 'restriction' that makes no sense.

18 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 06:12:16ID: hsgespx

From the beginning, I knew containment was incredibly unlikely, but not an outright "scam", per se. Within 2 weeks it was clear it was not containable

19 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 05:15:50ID: hsg8znk

When I heard it was a virus

20 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 06:28:55ID: hsggc52

In January 2020, I was telling the people I know that this was going to be endemic. There was never any hope of eradication or containment.

21 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 05:37:15ID: hsgbbca

About a second after I learned the largest bat virology lab in China was just down the street from the supposed ground zero wet market. Pretty much after that I questioned everything.

22 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 10:01:05ID: hsgwyry

The thing that radicalized me was when we were doing two weeks to flatten the curve I kept asking what's supposed to happen during these two weeks to stop the virus from simply doing what it was going to do from the start, only delayed by two weeks? Surely the only thing that could stop this from happening would be if a significant number of people got it during the two weeks, enough to slow it down. But if that happened, the whole justification for two weeks lockdown would fail because the idea was to stop people from getting it during those two weeks.

Nobody ever answered this. Clearly two weeks was never intended to be the end it was just a way to get a foot in the door.

23 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 10:02:58ID: hsgx3pu

Releasing prisoners from jail because it was too dangerous for them

While letting blm protestors riot because it was a summer of love

But shutting down all businesses because it was too dangerous

And arresting people for breaking lockdown orders even if they were doing online sales only

While not letting fit and healthy people get natural immunity

While forcing everyone to wear masks but masks haven’t stopped the spread anywhere

24 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 04:34:12ID: hsg47us

As soon as we learned it can spread asymptomatically and presymptomatically. The only reason we could control SARS and MERS was because they didn't have this property

ID: hsh2qcs

I still don't buy the "asymptomatic" spread. Find it hard to believe that people will get infected and have enough of a viral load to spread it, but they will never feel any symptoms themselves.

25 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 10:47:03ID: hsh0e10

The proposal of closing X 2 weeks was always met by me with "and then what? You gotta close forever then because it's not going to disappear like that"

I didn't think at the time (pre march) that nations would cheer locking themselves down like that. They weren't scared into it in the swine flu so I thought this would be the same. Alas, it wasn't and when the first lockdown happened I tried like mad to warn people about the permanent powers disguised as temporary being entrenched... But I was met with all the fear, virtue signalling and propaganda in most cases. Many are still very much with a lot of the propaganda. Authoritarianism through Vaccines are the new fight.

28 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 13:08:44ID: hshd3sr
  • The "masks off when sitting down but not when standing up" nonsense
  • Countries like AUS and NZ that are objective proof of the futility of pursuing Zero-Covid, in that they locked-down the hardest and longest but as soon as they reopened they started getting cases which effectively makes all that investment in Zero-Covid pointless
  • Witnessing places like Texas and Florida which were primarily open and there were not the bodies in the streets that people claimed there would be if we didn't implement lockdowns
  • When countries / governments are still pushing lockdowns / public freedom restrictions AFTER the vaccine rollout (the justification for the OG lockdowns was "well we don't have vaccines yet so healthcare systems will get overwhelmed. Can't use that justification the next time round, after everyone who wants the jab has had them)
  • When SAGE and WHO and other bodies consistently got the figures / stats wildly, laughably wrong about expected deaths and hospitalisations off the back of re-opening. In the UK for example, when we reopened in Spring 2021 they waved these crazy figures of hundreds of thousands of deaths and told us to listen because they're the experts. Unsurprisingly, their predictions were woefully off the mark.
  • When you see Gov officials, elites, the uber-rich etc, not wearing masks and not abiding by the same restrictions as they're advising (or enforcing) for the general public. If it genuinely was a serious issue, they would be following the same rules out of fear for their own safety and safety of their loved ones.

I still don't think social distancing is a complete scam because I was in an indoor work environment with 100 other people in the same room with one virus spreading after the next in 2019 and a manager telling us to come in anyway if we were sick.

ID: hsg5fqc

It’s a complete scam. Look up fomites. That’s how viruses are spread. Social distancing gives a false idea of how viruses work.

When the two qeek lockdown in march 2020 couldn't possibly lessen hospital load given the government ststed hospitalisation rates and infection spreading rates unless the strict lockdown lastednuntil august 2021.

It was on the fly basic arithmetic proven retarded from the beginning.

33 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 11:26:35ID: hsh3h0a

So wasn’t delta much deadlier than omicron?

And how many people here listen to the scientists and get vaccinated?

And how many people on this forum use scientific studies like this to conclude what they already believed while at the same time dismissing vaccines?

34 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 12:46:56ID: hshas97

It was obvious since the beginning this was overblown out of proportions.

I screamed back in March 2020 out my lungs, telling people to stop pushing for these measures, because the future impact they would have for society was just too great.

But fear wins.

35 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 13:08:07ID: hshd1d6

The first time I heard: "it's new, and we don't know how bad it might get." So it might be nothing... and we are killing our economy and closing schools? How the hell did that make sense?

36 :Anonymous2022/01/13(Thu) 13:30:44ID: hshfmui

knew from day one that containment of an airborne virus is not possible....
