In Germany we say "have yourself some warm thoughts" in such cases, same level of (un)helpful.ID: hsjsxdc

I don't think my tarantula is generating a lot of heat.... and she's kinda itchy...ID: hsjn2r5
You have to get her closer to your core.that living horror.
Poison Ivy is great for insulation. The itching causes friction which causes heat. Perfect to keep warm. The spider hatchlings cause me to run like a manic across the house. All these things keep me warm.ID: hsjlbxl

I don't think that the energy sector has more power - Ofgem is quite strict with regulation, reprimanding and handing out fines etc
It's mostly the energy crisis going on in the UK (and quite a bit of Europe for that matter), increasing electricity costs and shutting down many of the smaller suppliers. That has had a knock-on effect where customers have been assigned by Ofgem to other suppliers, increasing load on their capacity to generate enough energy, while simultaneously decreasing market competition drasticallyID: hskkzl1
Its good advice for any time where cold weather and a power outage coincide. Or just when you're not able to access a source of heat for any reason. However I'm not aware of any weather that will present such a situation in the near future.

It's a 2 dog kinda night
My cat loves the plan. I suspect he suggested it to them.
Anyone who is furious and financially able should invest in solar
