The pharmacist, in my experience.

A new incident exactly like this one has been occuring in this country every few months. Yet another reckless cop who's watched too many action movies and nascar races, has become drunk on adrenaline, and kills innocent people. People died so that...CVS saves a few bucks?

That cop had the vehicle description and plate numbers. There where dozens of cops on duty. They have access to more hardware than most militaries. They can keep track of that vehicle without pretending that they're Vin Diesel. This incident was caused by an infantile cop that wanted to go vroom vroom.

There should be laws against chasing a suspect and creating a hazardous environment on the road.

If they're speeding and weaving, the only reasonable thing is to try to have some police farther ahead to block their path, not to chase them at high speeds causing them to slam the gas and make wild turns to try and escape.

It's not worth anyone's life over stolen merchandise or drugs. Kidnapping, or someone's life is at risk? Okay. Every other time? Not okay.

The department my husband retired from had a no chase policy for things they could just show up at theGuys house for.

It's all ego with these fragile emotional police officers. They flip their shit over anything, and don't admit any fault of their own wrongdoing.

Increasingly these are stupid policies. Criminals steal vehicles and then steal plates from other vehicles. Chasing is the right thing to do, and if an innocent third party is killed you tack a murder charge on when you catch the bad guy. I live in San Francisco and our cops are 100% bitchmade, and won't pursue or arrest nearly anyone unless circumstances are so public that they're forced to do their job out of embarrassment.

Based on the reporting this appears to be an Armed Robbery suspect, which is towing that line you drew. Probably not an immediate threat to someones life but a dangerous person who should definitely be off the streets. In that situation I guess it should come down to the road(s) the person is fleeing on and how dangerous it would be to chase at high speeds on. A highway or service road is a lot different than a city block of course.

And who is going to enforce said law?

ID: hspip6l

The DA.

7 crashed vehicles, a dead mother and the suspect got away? Theyll probably promote the dumb cop.

ID: hspj9f3

Ahhh yes, it’s the cops fault. No mention of the wild animal that caused the situation

ID: hspk0f5

Well…we would be able to mention said “wild animal” if they had been caught. But alas, a mother and her children got in the way. Drats.

ID: hsq65iy

Ah yes. The suspect was a wild animal. Not the person who recklessly killed someone.

Mother of two killed over an insured small amount of money. What a waste.
